Gary Johns is a career Realtor having obtained his License in 1976. After a successful career in Los Angeles, Gary Johns moved his real estate practice to Palm Springs in 2005. Gary has been a consistent top producer with expertise and emphasis on architectural properties. He is a vital part of the city’s preservation efforts currently serving as the president of the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation, as secretary on the Board of Directors of Modernism Week and as past chair of the City of Palm Springs Historic Site Preservation Board.
Gary is also a well known public speaker having created the slide lecture series “Lost, Saved and Endangered: Modernist Architecture in Palm Springs which he presents twice yearly during Modernism Week. His interviews with the architect Hugh M. Kaptur and with iconic local citizen, Nelda Linsk appeal to sold out audiences.
Gary lives in a restored Palmer & Krisel condo in the Canyon View Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs with his rescue dogs Kirby, Champ and Astro.
